About the Faculty of Electric Power Engineering
The Faculty of Electric Power Engineering at the Tashkent Branch of the National Research University «MPEI» was established in 2023 with the aim of improving the effectiveness of the educational process in training highly qualified engineering and technical specialists for the energy sector.
The faculty has been headed by Professor B. Egamberdiyev (2023–2024), PhD B. Mamasoliyev (2024–2025), Senior Lecturer A. Narmanov (2025–2026), and Senior Lecturer A. Allayorov (since 2026).
Currently, more than 520 students are enrolled in the faculty’s full-time, part-time, and distance-learning programs in the following fields of study:
Today at the faculty:
13.03.01 – Thermal Power Engineering and Heat Technology
13.03.02 – Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering
11.03.04 – Electronics and Nanoelectronics
27.03.02 – Quality Management
27.03.04 – Control in Technical Systems
38.03.01 – Economics
38.03.02 – Management
The faculty comprises two successfully operating departments: «Hydropower and Energy» and «Social Sciences, Humanities and Economics».
Currently, to ensure the effective organization of the educational process and to train highly qualified specialists for the energy, electronics, nanoelectronics, and economic sectors of the Republic of Uzbekistan, close cooperation has been established with the Research Institute of Semiconductor Physics and Microelectronics at the National University of Uzbekistan, Tashkent State Technical University, and other leading higher education institutions.
Qualified faculty members make a significant contribution to ensuring high-quality education and implementing modern educational technologies. They include Acting Professor Sh. Begmatov; Professors O. Kuldashov, A. Taslimov, Kh. Sapayev, N. Jabborov, S. Khasanov, and R. Khusainov; Associate Professors R. Shomurodov, M. Kasimov, A. Uteniyazova, J. Hamdamov, V.
